Installation InstructionS FOR OUR DIY KITS

  • Each kit is supplied pre-grouped and labelled as below diagrams.

  • Each block represents 1 Square meter (However each can be extended).

  • Each block includes the following size and quantity of fibers:
    22 x 0.75mm fibers (Use 1mm drill bit)
    11 x 1.00mm fibers (Use 1.2mm drill bit)

  • The light source can only be housed in the centre position of the display area.

4 Step process

Step 1
Mark off your blocks.

 

Step 2
Drill holes from underside upward then insert tags to find the holes from the topside.

22 x 0.75mm per block = 1mm drill bit
11 x 1.00mm per block = 1.2mm drill bit

Step 3
Feed fibers through all holes keeping the light source at the centre of the ceiling and place a drop of glue where each fiber meets the hole on the topside.

Step 4
Connect light source to switch / power and then once the glue has dried, use your precision cutters and from the underside of the ceiling, clip all fibers flush with the ceiling.

TIPS

  • Ensure your ceiling is painted / surface complete before starting to install your fiber optic kit.

  • When drilling, do not press too hard as the drill bit is thin and can break.

  • If you make a mistake, simply dip one of the tags in the same paint with which the ceiling was 
      painted, then press into the hole where the mistake was made and then pull outwards = the paint
      will close the hole / mistake.

  • When drilling holes small clusters look better than a evenly a spread layout.
